WHERE WILL THE EVENT BE HELD?
All training course venues are confirmed approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the course start; this ensures the most appropriate room for the size of the class is selected.
WHAT DOES THE COURSE FEE COVER?
Fees cover admission, course materials, lunch and refreshments.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY COURSE/CONFERENCE INFORMATION PACK?
Course/Conference information packs including the details of the venue and course timings will be sent 3-4 weeks prior to an event.
HOW DO I GET TO A PARTICULAR VENUE?
All venue directions including a map will be sent to you with your joining instructions 3-4 weeks prior to an event.
WHAT ARE THE COURSE TIMINGS?
Our training events commence at 09:30 on the first day, with registration from 09:00. On all other days they start at 09:00. Breaks are mid-morning, lunchtime and mid-afternoon and tend to be at the discretion of the trainer. Courses are scheduled to finish at 17:00, but may finish slightly earlier on the last day. This is dependent on the size of the group, the speed at which work is completed and whether there are any travel issues for delegates.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OF MY REGISTRATION?
We will always aim to confirm your registration within 48 hours.
WHAT ARE MISTI’S CANCELLATION POLICIES?
PLEASE NOTE: Due to travel concerns related to the Coronavirus (COVID – 19), the MIS Training Institute (MISTI) is making the following options available to its registered seminar attendees for in-person courses and seminars schedule through 30 April , 2020:
- We have added virtual options for many of our March and April 2020 seminars, allowing you the option to enjoy the same learning experience without the need for travel. Click here to see all U.S. virtual learning seminars, alternatively get in touch with your account manager for all EMEA virtual training courses.
- If you have already registered for a March – April 2020 in-person seminar and would prefer to switch to a virtual session, MISTI will accommodate that change with no cost or penalty.
- If a virtual alternative is offered for your seminar and you elect to completely cancel your attendance altogether, our standard cancellation policy (stated below) will apply
- If the March – April course you registered for is not offered with a virtual option, MISTI will gladly reschedule you for a future seminar of equal value as long as the session occurs within the calendar year 2020.
MISTI's Cancellation Policy:
Should you be unable to attend, a substitute may attend the training course at no extra charge. Otherwise the originally registered delegate will be subject to the following refund policy: A full refund is given for cancellations received up to 30 days before the start of the course date. No refunds will be given to cancellations received less than 29 days before the event. For notification of cancellation or postponement received within 29 days of the course the full course fee is payable. You are entitled to transfer to the next programme at an additional fee of £300. All cancellations, postponements or substitutions must be received in writing by email or post by the required date.
NOTE: INVOICES ARE PAYABLE UPON RECEIPT – THIS IS A PREPAID EVENT. You will not be registered on a course without received payment.
Flights and hotel accommodation should only be purchased when our logistics team contact you to confirm the course venue. The attendee is solely responsible for their flight and accommodation arrangements and costs. In the unlikely event MISTI should have to cancel an event it will not be responsible for any costs incurred by attendees. MISTI therefore recommends that clients purchase fully refundable air tickets and accommodation.
WILL I EARN CPE POINTS WHEN ATTENDING MIS TRAINING EVENTS?
All participants are eligible to receive CPE Credits to fulfil professional accreditation requirements.
MIS Training Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. HOW CAN I PAY?
There are multiple ways to make payment:
- Direct Bank Transfer
- Debit/credit card payment
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PAYMENT ISN'T RECEIVED PRIOR TO A TRAINING EVENT?
Payment is required prior to commencing the course. However, on occasion allowances may be made. If payment is not received within 30 days of the training event our credit control department will pursue legal action.
WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED FOR A VISA LETTER?
VISA letters will only be granted when full payment has been made. Anyone suspected of applying for a training course simply to gain a VISA letter will be reported to their embassy. Should you require a VISA letter, a VISA invitation letter will be provided from MISTI. This states that a delegate is registered to attend a training course. VISA invitation letters will be provided on confirmation of course payment. MIS training has no influence over any embassy and whether a VISA will be granted. Delegates are solely responsible for obtaining a VISA and failure to do so will not make the participant exempt from the cancellation policy. The following information is required for us to process a visa letter:
- Your full name as it appears on your passport
- Your date of birth
- Your passport number
- Your passport issue date
- Your passport expiry date
Please also indicate the country from which you are applying.

CAN A DISCOUNT BE APPLIED TO MY REGISTRATION ONLINE?
Yes, please make the relevant selections when registering.
CAN I CLAIM BACK UK VAT?
Yes, overseas business visitors can claim a VAT refund under the European Union (EU) 8th and 13th Directives on all eligible business expenses such as hotel accommodation, training courses, meals, car hire, exhibition costs etc., provided you are not registered for VAT in the UK.
WHAT IF I FEEL A PROGRAM HASN’T LIVED UP TO ITS DESCRIPTION?
MISTI stands behind all its programs. If you did not receive tools and techniques that will help you do your job better, simply tell us why on your company letterhead within 30 days of attending the event and we will give you a full credit toward any MISTI program.
